Noordkaap in Keulen

Tuesday January 24, 2012

Next stop: Cologne

This winter, Noordkaap is hosted by Jack in the Box in Cologne. You are cordially invited to the opening on Friday February 3, 20:00.

Since 2011, Noordkaap has been touring Europe with an ever-expanding exhibition on the theme of Populism. Responding to local phenomena and current issues in society, a changing group of international artists creates videos, interventions, installations and performances on location. After Munich and Istanbul, the exhibition journeys from Cologne to Lisbon and Budapest, resulting in a closing event and exhibition in Noordkaap's hometown Dordrecht at the end of 2012.

In Cologne new and existing work will be on view by: Arturo Hernández Alcázar (Mexico City), Hans van den Ban (Amsterdam), Nada van Dalen (Dordrecht), Dan Dryer (Cologne), Foundland (Amsterdam), Fabian Hesse (Munich), Oliver Kunkel (Cologne), Daan den Houter (Rotterdam), Filippo Minelli (Brescia), Federico D'Orazio (Den Bosch/Bangkok) and Art van Triest (Utrecht).

In addition to contributions by artists, the Cologne NK Times features essays by Benjamin Dürr (journalist), Lotje Dercksen (researcher IKON TV) and the philosophers Brothers Meester. The cartoon for this edition was created by Aimée de Jongh from Rotterdam.
