Carlos d’Abreu

1973, lives and works in Munich and Lisbon

Carlos d'Abreu is a sculptor and creates large installations. His work defies the limits of physical safety and imposes obstacles and taboos of the collective memory exposed.

His installations and inteventions overwhelm through accurate detail and provide the viewer at once feelings of inadequacy and chills. He graduated in 2003 at Dusseldorf Academy (Class of prof. Jetelova) and is a teacher at the Munich Academy.
